A hike in the woods

Took a winter hike with my dog, willy. He is old and roughly %80 deaf. Each time I go home I try to spend time with him, in case I have to come home to a dogless house for the first time in my life. He is on borrowed time, yet keeps on chugging away. He ran his ass off this day forgetting his age. For the next two days poor guy could barely walk he was so sore. Puts getting old into perspective, I guess.
